The German Airline connects Munich with Heraklion every Saturday

Lufthansa opened it’s wings for “Nikos Kazantzakis” Airport (HER) in Heraklion, Crete. Lufthansa started the flights on May 23, 2015 giving, for one more time, the “vote of confidence” to the Greek Tourism. The fist flight, operated with an Airbus A320, carried 162 happy passengers, re-connecting Munich with Heraklion after 10 years. The local Authorities warmly welcomed the passengers and the crew.

As Lufthansa announced, during the summer flight schedule, will fly every Saturday departing Munich at 0830 in the morning (local time), carrying German and other connecting tourists to this very popular destination in Greece.

Crete is well known for its good tourist infrastructure but also for its huge coastline covering over a thousand kilometers! The traditional architecture, the museums, and the great Mediterranean Cusine also make Heraklion a very interesting destination. The exceptional Mediterranean climate of Crete is characterized by warm and dry weather, making Crete an ideal island for vacations from May to September.
